This action blocks all their property and interests in property that fall under U.S. jurisdiction, prohibiting U.S. individuals from doing business with them. These individuals are linked to La Nueva Familia Michoacana, a group involved in illicit drug trade and activities related to terrorism. The sanctions are imposed under Executive Orders 14059 and 13224.
